He guys, I'll be emceeing at the West Virginia Power game this Saturday night! Just so you guys are aware, I am no longer the full time emcee down there. I figured, since so many of you have asked, I would give a little bit more of an explanation.
For those of you that aren't aware, doing the chicken dance on top of the dugout between innings or counting down for the kids playing dizzy bat isn't exactly my entire life. I actually have a full-time job. By day I'm a civil engineer. By night, I used to be the emcee. I was like the world's shittiest super hero.
I actually enjoy working the Power games. They are a ton of fun, but the time commitment is nowhere near worth it. I have comedy gigs booked too often, and now I even own a house with my fiancé. Between work, comedy, planning a wedding, and keeping up a house, I don't have the time to come down there every single night.
I will still be popping in from time to time to help them out and work the occasional game, but don't expect me all the time. However, when I am there, be ready to have some fun, because that's all I'm there to do! If you're not having fun, then why come out? It's the great American past time! Treat it as such.
